CHRI$ LOWE: Built From the Struggle, Powered by the South and Just Getting Started

There is a moment that changes everything for some people. For CHRI$ LOWE that moment came at 9 years old standing in Atlanta watching Too Short, Jermaine Dupri and Jazzy Pha shoot a video. They put him in it. And in that moment a kid who did not have much, who was living in a world where cable television was not an option and most of his time was spent outside or in his bedroom recording raps on a boombox, felt something he had never felt before.

He felt what it meant to be a star.

That feeling never left him. And everything CHRI$ LOWE has done since that day has been in pursuit of it.

Survival as a foundation

By 15 he was homeless. That is not a lyric. That is a fact that shaped every instinct, every decision and every bar he has ever written. When survival becomes second nature at that age it changes how you see the world and it changes what you have to say about it when you finally get a platform to speak.

Music was the place where all of it could go. The feelings of not fitting in. The hunger to make something out of nothing. The knowledge deep in his bones that he was going to make it regardless of what the circumstances around him looked like.

He recorded on a boombox because that was what he had. He expressed himself through music because that was the only place where everything made sense. CHRI$ LOWE is the music, he says it himself. It is the heartbeat of his life and has been since before he had anything else to hold onto.

From Augusta to Atlanta to Montgomery and back

CHRI$ LOWE's journey has never been a straight line and the music reflects every turn it has taken.

Augusta. Atlanta. Montgomery. A serious legal case in Alabama in 2015 that could have derailed everything. Instead of folding he came back to Atlanta, rebuilt, pursued his music career harder than before and built a successful business alongside it through Rich Partner Entertainment.

He calls his territory the Triple A. And he represents every part of it with the kind of pride that only comes from someone who has actually been through something in those places rather than just passing through.

"Pain makes stars."

The records that tell the story

CHRI$ LOWE has built a catalog that carries the grit, soul and unmistakable energy of the South in every track. "Georgia Power" is exactly what the title says. "Fell in Love with a Trapper" hits the way only a song written from real experience can. "Broken Wings" carries the weight of everything he has survived and turned into something worth hearing.

He is known as the Voice and that title fits. He understands the youth because he has been where they are. The struggle is not something he observed. It is something he lived through and came out of with enough material to fill a lifetime of music.

Ying Yang Twins, Doe B and what is coming

The collaborations CHRI$ LOWE has built throughout his career speak directly to his roots in Southern hip-hop. He has worked with Ying Yang Twins, King South and the late Doe B alongside Dirty Boyz, names that carry real weight in the culture.

His upcoming project "The Double A" includes a record with the late Doe B and Dirty Boyz, a collaboration that carries extra meaning given Doe B's passing and the legacy he left behind in Southern rap. That record is a statement of respect, history and Southern pride all in one.

More music is coming. The movement is building. And CHRI$ LOWE is not slowing down.

Built from the struggle. Powered by the South.

CHRI$ LOWE was put in a video at 9 years old and knew exactly what he wanted. He survived homelessness at 15 and kept going. He navigated a legal situation in Alabama and came back stronger. He built a business, built a catalog and built a movement called the Triple A that represents Georgia and Alabama simultaneously.

Every challenge was preparation. Every struggle was material. And the music he is making right now is the fullest expression of a man who has been through enough to make every bar mean something.

Pain makes stars. CHRI$ LOWE is living proof.
