It started with two albums.
Tayze was 9 years old when his mother handed him Get Rich Or Die Tryin' and The Eminem Show. Two records that between them represented some of the most impactful hip-hop of that era. He listened for a year straight. By the time he was 10 years old something had already shifted inside him from fan to future artist.
Then the instrumental mixtapes started arriving from New York while he was in Florida. Albums followed. Nas Godson. Dr. Dre The Chronic 2001. The Marshall Mathers LP. Redman Doc's Da Name 2000. DMX And Then There Was X. Lil Wayne and Birdman Like Father Like Son. Carter 1 and 2. He was absorbing everything. And when he could not get enough he went to YouTube, searched the instrumentals from every album he loved and started writing to them until the notebooks were full.
That is how Tayze became an artist. Not from one moment or one person but from a complete immersion in the greatest hip-hop of a generation that eventually had nowhere to go but onto a page and then into a booth.
In 2012 he recorded his first track "My Town" and never looked back.
Learning from others to protect his own sound
What keeps Tayze motivated is not the standard answer most artists give. He listens to other rappers specifically to learn from their mistakes. To study what not to do. To identify the patterns that lead artists away from their own sound and make a conscious decision to avoid every single one of them.
That approach has kept his sound distinctly his own across a career that now includes platinum music and a growing catalog built entirely on his own terms. He has had real conversations about drum kits and production choices specifically designed to keep people guessing while staying true to who he is sonically.
That combination of competitive awareness and artistic integrity is exactly what produces longevity in hip-hop.
3512 Death Row East and the platinum achievement
Tayze's latest album "3512 Death Row East" is out now and available across all platforms. The title alone carries a weight and an ambition that reflects an artist who grew up on the legends and is not shy about the standard he holds himself to.
His music has gone platinum. That achievement for an independent artist building on his own terms is a marker of real cultural reach and real listener connection. Not manufactured numbers. Actual impact.
"I always stay true to my sound because I had conversations on what's the best drum kits to use to keep them guessing."
Bulletproof Nightmares and everything coming
The release schedule Tayze has lined up is not light. His new album "Bulletproof Nightmares" is dropping in October alongside new visuals that will bring the project to life visually. A surprise album is coming after that. And a 3512 RMG group album is also in the works, adding a collaborative dimension to what has already been a prolific independent run.
Three projects on the horizon from an artist who started filling notebooks with lyrics at 10 years old. The work ethic that built those notebooks has never gone anywhere. It has only gotten more focused and more productive with time.
From Florida notebooks to everywhere
Tayze received instrumental mixtapes from New York as a kid in Florida and used them to teach himself how to rap by writing until the pages ran out. That image says everything about who he is and how he operates. He does not wait for opportunity to come to him. He creates the conditions for it himself.
Platinum music. A growing catalog. Three projects on the way. A website. A YouTube channel. An independent operation built from the ground up by someone who fell in love with hip-hop at 9 years old and has never once questioned whether this was what he was supposed to be doing.
"Bulletproof Nightmares" is coming in October. The surprise album is coming after. And Tayze is moving exactly the way he always has. With the notebooks full and the booth ready.
