Big Twotimes is 26 years old and has already lived three cities worth of music experience. Born in Minneapolis, raised in Vernon, Texas, and now back home in Minneapolis, his journey has never been a straight line. But every stop along the way has added something to who he is as an artist and the music he makes.
He started his career on February 19, 2015 in Vernon, Texas. He was 15 years old. That is not a detail, that is a foundation. While most kids his age were figuring out high school, Big Twotimes was already building something. He attended High School for Recording Arts in Saint Paul, Minnesota, one of the few schools in the country built specifically for young artists who are serious about the industry. That is where he learned to engineer, to market, to understand how the business works from the inside out.
Before the artist, there was the producer
What a lot of people do not know about Big Twotimes is that he came up as a producer first. And his first major placement was not a local record. It was Latto.
Before she was one of the biggest names in rap, when she was still Miss Mulatto, Big Twotimes had a placement on her "Let Em Know" mixtape. That is a real credit. That is proof that his ear for music and his production instincts were sharp long before he stepped to the front as an artist himself.
The 808 is his foundation. The bounce of a beat, the way the low end moves under a track, that is what drives his creative process. You can hear it in everything he makes.
What drives him
Big Twotimes is honest about what keeps him going and it is not one thing. It is everything at once.
He genuinely loves music before anything else. That love is the base. But alongside it is the drive to build stability, to provide for his family and to leave something behind that his kids can point to one day and say their dad did it. That combination of passion and purpose gives his music a weight that goes beyond just making records.
Inspired by Chief Keef and Lil Wayne growing up, he absorbed the best of 2000s era rap and built his own sound from it. Something that feels familiar but moves in its own direction.
"Leave history down the line for my kids to say my dad did it and I also did it too."
Its Blitz 2: Seven tracks, one real story
On August 1st Big Twotimes is dropping "Its Blitz 2," a 7 track EP with all production handled by Pandoraxx. The project is personal. It documents the environment he has been through and the reality that sometimes where you come from will push you to do things you never wanted to do just to get where you need to go.
That is not a concept. That is lived experience pressed into seven tracks. The pre-release link is already live and the music is available now on Apple Music and Spotify.
This is the project that marks his full transition from someone who has been putting in work since 2015 to an artist ready to be heard on a much larger scale. He got serious in 2025 and "Its Blitz 2" is the proof of what that seriousness looks like.
