A judge has reportedly ruled that Chris Brown's 2009 assault case involving Rihanna cannot be brought up during an ongoing lawsuit connected to an alleged dog attack at his Los Angeles property.
The lawsuit was filed by a former housekeeper who claims she was seriously injured in 2020 while working at Brown's home. According to her allegations, a large Caucasian Ovcharka attacked her as she was taking out the trash, biting her multiple times and causing significant injuries to her face, arms, and other parts of her body.
The woman contends that the incident left her with permanent scarring and required extensive medical treatment. Brown has denied responsibility for the alleged attack.
The case has attracted attention because of the severity of the reported injuries and concerns raised about the dog's management following the incident. Brown's attorneys previously argued that references to his past legal troubles—including the highly publicized Rihanna assault case—would be unfairly prejudicial in a civil trial focused on the dog attack allegations.
According to recent reports, the court agreed with that position, granting Brown's request to prevent the Rihanna case from being introduced as evidence or discussed before the jury. The lawsuit itself, however, remains ongoing, and the court has not ruled on the underlying claims regarding the alleged dog attack.
