ELIJAH MILLZ: FROM FLATBUSH TO THE STUDIO, A BROOKLYN ARTIST BORN TO WIN

There is a specific kind of hunger that comes from watching someone you look up to do exactly what you want to do. For Elijah Millz, that moment came early. He was 12 years old, it was 2013, and he was in Brownsville watching his older brother figure Neek De Leon, a versatile rapper and musician, move through the culture with a kind of confidence that left a mark on a young kid from Flatbush, Brooklyn.

"I would always ask him, let me get in the studio and record some music," Elijah recalls. "And he would say, let me see your report card." He laughs telling the story now, but back then it planted something in him that never left.

The seed grew slowly. Years later, one night changed everything. Elijah headed up to SammyOnTheBeat in Woodlawn in the Bronx alongside his brother Isaiah and his bro The Real H. Watching Neek De Leon work in that studio environment was the spark that finally lit the fire. From that night forward, Elijah Millz was all in.

THE FIRST SONGS AND THE STANDARD HE SET FOR HIMSELF

His first recorded track was called "Level Up." People around him liked it. His brothers were feeling it. But Elijah held himself to a different standard from the jump.

"As an artist, I like the structure and I make sure my song is perfect to the best of my ability," he explains. The people around him were rocking with it but that was not enough for him. He pulled "Level Up" from his YouTube channel and went back to work.

The next song he recorded was "Best Friend Forever", and that one he kept. People connected with the hook, the verses, the chorus. It had something. Even dealing with an eye condition that presented its own challenges, he refused to slow down. He kept dropping music. He kept pushing. One song after another, building from the ground up with nothing but belief in himself and the blueprint Neek De Leon had shown him without even knowing it.

"You either have results or excuses."

HOW HE STAYS MOTIVATED WHEN IT GETS HARD

Ask Elijah Millz about motivation and he does not reach for a cliche. He gives you the real version, the one that includes the hard parts.

Recording is not always easy. Take after take after take. Trying to get a vocal right, trying to make a song sound exactly the way it sounds in your head. That process can wear on you. He admits it gets stressful. But he also has something that cuts through that stress every single time.

"You either have results or excuses," he tells himself when the fatigue sets in. He speaks to himself directly in those moments. He reminds himself what the goal is. He reminds himself what he is capable of. Practice makes perfect is not just a phrase to him, it is a daily operating system.

He also adapts. Depending on his mood, depending on the energy of a track, he will rap, sing, or lean into melody. His range is part of his toolkit. His consistency is the engine that drives it all forward.

BORN TO WIN: THE EP THAT SHOWS WHAT HE IS BUILDING

On June 2, 2026, Elijah Millz dropped his latest single "Rich Now" across all music platforms, backed by a full music video shot and edited by NoPulseVisuals. It was a statement. A proper visual to match the music, showing that his operation has leveled up in every way.

And that is just the beginning of what he has been working on. His EP "Born To Win" is out now on all streaming platforms ,Apple Music, Spotify, SoundCloud and beyond. The project is not a solo effort either. Elijah brought in real talent to round it out, with features from Will Breezy and Louie Boss, two artists he speaks about with genuine respect.

"They are such great musicians and music artists, very talented," he says. The collaborations on the EP feel like a reflection of who Elijah is as a person, someone who values real relationships and real artistry over hype.

WHERE HE STARTED AND WHERE HE IS GOING

Before the studio sessions and the music videos and the EP drops, there was a kid in Flatbush recording into the voice notes app on his iPhone 7, connecting a computer speaker to an iPod, engineering his own mini setup in whatever space he had. It was not the best quality. He knew that. But he made it work because the music had to come out one way or another.

Back then he went by Eli Gambino. Eventually the name evolved into Elijah Millz, a name that carries more of who he actually is. Alongside his music journey he also built Legacy Entertainment, his own brand, with a purpose that goes beyond just dropping songs.

"I want to make a legacy and inspire other people, no matter what you are doing out there, to follow your dreams and just be you," he says. "Be humble. Be successful. Achieve and motivate yourself to see your goals and make it."

The list of artists he dreams of working with reads like a who's who across multiple generations, Fetty Wap, Chris Brown, Tee Grizzley, Dave East, Young MA, Fabolous, Jim Jones, Neek De Leon and more. Big names sit alongside names from his own community, which tells you something about how he moves. He does not forget where he came from while reaching for what is ahead.

THE LEGACY IS ALREADY IN MOTION

Elijah Millz is not waiting for someone to discover him. He built his own studio setup as a teenager, built his own brand, built his own sound, and built his own lane from Flatbush, Brooklyn to every streaming platform you use.

"Born To Win" is not just an EP title. It is a statement of intent from a man who has been proving it since he was 12 years old asking to get in the studio and being told to bring his report card first.

He is bringing receipts now. And he is just getting started.
