DaBaby has reportedly resolved a lawsuit brought against him by Brandon Bills, the brother of singer and rapper DaniLeigh, stemming from a physical altercation at a California bowling alley. According to reports, court records show that both parties reached a settlement agreement, with the case expected to be formally dismissed within the next 45 days.
The financial terms of the settlement have not been disclosed. Brandon Bills originally sought $4 million in damages, alleging that he suffered injuries during the confrontation and naming both DaBaby and the bowling alley in his lawsuit.
The dispute traces back to ongoing tensions between DaBaby and DaniLeigh, who share a child together. During a deposition, Brandon stated that he became upset after DaBaby publicly criticized and disrespected his sister on social media. In response, Brandon publicly declared that he would confront the rapper if they ever met in person, comments that were widely circulated by entertainment and hip-hop media outlets.
According to Brandon's testimony, when the two eventually crossed paths at the bowling alley, DaBaby approached him and allegedly said, "I just want to slap you around a little bit" before striking him. Brandon claimed that members of DaBaby's entourage then joined the altercation.
DaBaby, however, has maintained a different version of events, asserting that Brandon was the one who initiated the confrontation. With the settlement now reached, the long-running legal dispute appears to be nearing its conclusion.
