Travis Scott recently debuted an early black colorway of the Nike Caitlin 1, the first signature sneaker from basketball star Caitlin Clark. The reveal came shortly after Clark introduced the highly anticipated shoe through a series of photos shared on Instagram.
The Nike Caitlin 1 features a sleek low-top silhouette with a textured, rippled upper. Its unique design includes rubberized scale-like overlays that allow different sections of the shoe to move independently, creating a distinctive look and feel. The all-black version showcased by Scott highlights several standout details, including a breathable mesh base and layered Swoosh branding. Clark also offered a closer look at custom insoles decorated with friendship-bracelet-inspired charms.
Scott and Clark have built a connection over the years. The rapper attended Clark’s historic final game at Iowa, where she broke the NCAA women’s all-time scoring record. He also appeared alongside her in an early Nike campaign, making his involvement in the sneaker’s rollout a natural fit.
Nike has already confirmed a separate black, metallic silver, and racer blue colorway for release, although it remains unclear whether the pair worn by Scott is identical to that version. The Nike Caitlin 1 is scheduled to launch on October 1, 2026, with the racer blue edition expected to serve as the debut colorway. For now, fans will have to wait and see whether the black version receives an official retail release.
